The Town strives to keep its residents informed about future development in our area and would draw your attention to the development planned for the new Turnpike exchange and the surrounding area.  Section 6, (pink 'elephant' section) shown on the Conceptual Development Plan  is an area proposed for Industrial use and borders the back of the Trails of Monverde and the Vinola Drive/Place area of Town.

Due to opposition pressure being exerted by your Mayor, Councilmen and others, this section of the Conceptual Development Plan has been modified and the Industrial portion has been cut in half and away from the Trails and Vinola area. Buffer areas have also been extended to give more clearance from existing Residential properties.  Even with these changes, the maximum allowed industrial is still increasing from 1,400,000 to 1,470,000 sq ft of the gross leaseable area; the phases of development is being increased from 3 to 5 phases and the development period is extending to 2040.  Please click to view the Modified Development Standards  which outlines the type of use that can be expected; the time schedule for each phase on page 2 and the allowable maximum heights (75 feet) on page 9.

The plan has been recommended for approval by Minneola City Council at their meeting on June 2, 2015.  Please attend this meeting.
